Euthanasia / assisted suicide

Has anyone here ever thought about applying for it, or wished this option were available where they live? If so, what's your story and reasoning for it?

I live in a country where assisted suicide is legal but I don't know anybody personally who has done it, yet in the news they talk about it constantly. I'd love to have a conversation with somebody going through it or people who have accompanied such instances.
