In Germany, I think it's legal in 2026 to obtain and have the substance, but the person who wants to die must give or take it themselves. So, assisted yes, but active euthanasia no.
However, many services are tied to commercial organizations that charge a lot of money (7,000 euros and more). They simply exploit people.
Ideally, everyone should have access to pentobarbital as easily and legally as shampoo in everyday stores. But so far, that’s not the case.
The state in Germany is a industrialized and commercialised state, very dead. Real human rights are here not available, especially for women who are poor.
