1. Of all of the (Kick-Ass Action Movies) that you've ever seen, which ones would you recommend seeing?
2. Let's say that no matter what movie or movies you recommend, hypothetically was never released and was only seen by you through private viewing.
3. Let's be clear. We are still talking about real movies you have actually seen.
4. It's okay to pick the same movies that someone else has picked.
5. If certain movie appears on most peoples recommendation, that gives that recommendation more sway.
Die Hard (1988)
The Matrix (1999)
Speed (1994)
The Bourne Supremacy (2004)
John Wick (2014)
The Equalizer (2014)
Most action heroes are self aware, and perform a little bit tongue in cheek.
The main exception is Stephen Seagal. He is terrible, huge ego, terrible acting and no sense of humour.
I know this is about good films, but this is worth saying.
All his films are rubbish. See someone else, they're all better than him.
I don't think I've watched anything in that genre for a couple of decades but I really liked the first "The Taking of Pelham 123", especially because I was living in NYC at the time. But maybe that's more of a crime movie.
@Real Music,
My son is a huge fan of Jason Statham.
Most of his films are the same, working class ex special forces individual waging war on the rich and powerful, but they're no less enjoyable for that.
