Has anyone got a script which will show a visitor's IP when they visit a page on my site, which will work with internet explorer, and also one which will greet visitors with their country such as "Hello Australia" etc ??

Hi Husker, tried that already and nothing covers internet explorer, in fact one company is requesting help for the same thing that I am looking for. It must be possible somehow. Thanks anyway.

when I change computers in a couple hours I'll look for it unless someone else finds it first - I've seen the script.

Displaying their IP number is easy, displaying the country name they are in is a very different matter.

To do the latter you need to have a geoip database (with updates, as it will change often) and then query the database with the IP.

This will likely cost you significant time and money.

Alternately, you can use a third party service.

For example: http://geobutton.com/FreeServices.htm

Their "GeoPhrase" service is the closest to what you describe.

Thanks once again, and you can see your efforts in action here Edit (Moderator): Link removed. I hope that you find the page hilarious and enjoy yourselves as my thanks to you.
