You have two coins that add up to 50 cents. One of them is not a nickel. What are the coins?
<snort> that certainly is almost too easy.
That would be a 34 cent piece and a 16 cent piece.
Next question......
Nice try, both of you. But that's not the answer. We're talking genuine US coins here.
"One of them is not a nickel."
Nor, I would suspect is the other
I think most people are too embarrassed to give the correct answer, Merry.
We'll wait for some giddy teenager to come along and blurt out the answer.
A schilling and a farthing?
I was thinking a penny and a dime, but that only adds up to 11 cents.
Back to the drawing board.
2 quarters à 25 cents = 50 cents
That's 2 coins and one of them is not a nickel
So Calmity is a giddy teenager...who knew?
Don't burst her bubble, Acquiunk. She's on a high right now.
I thought the question was
I have two coins that add up to 35 cents and one is not a dime. What are the two cons?
Justthefax, actually the question was supposed to be I have two coins that add up to 55 cents and one is not a nickel. But my typing skills have deteriotaed since I started on the new meds. You, of course, know the answer.
Sloppy typemanship MA.
you better tighten up.
Now I know the answer to be:
A 37 cent piece and an 18 cent piece.
Yeah MA, due to your sloppiness, I have to return
the giddy teenage outfits I so enthusiastically bought yesterday.
(Well, at least my child is saved from utter embarrassment her mother has caused)
Keep the cheerleader outfit.
oh... and the pom poms
You're right Chai,
I can use the outfit for a nice role play.
I like playing Gladiator and Slave Girl.......
Some day, I'm gonna let my husband be the Gladiator.
What a great variation Chai.
Beats the old nurse/patient
game...
