As you all get ready to welcome the Autumn season, a couple of companion pieces for you. Read as per yr mood Smile

Autumn - Two Poems

Trees laid bare,
like souls,
infront of lovers.
Wind caressing the bare branches,
like paramour's touch,
Nature preparing herself,
to dress in new clothes,
come spring.
Carpet of fallen leaves,
laid down,
welcoming winter.
And celebrating,
a new season,
with such vibrant colors,
rainbow hangs his head
In shame.

Trees laid bare,
like my soul,
now that
u have gone.
I want to scatter yr memories,
amongst the fallen leaves,
to be swept away,
by the relentless wind.
And wait,
for new love to bloom,
like new leaves,
Come spring ?
But like trees,
where do I find the courage,
to face the harsh winter,
devoid of the warmth,
of yr love ?

Hey, did you write these words? If so, I'm impressed!
I was so moved by you last lines of the second poem:

But like trees,
where do I find the courage,
to face the harsh winter,
devoid of the warmth,
of yr love ?

I was very moved. Have been to that place, myself, in the past & know that feeling of sadness & desolation.
But, hey, it passes!! (Thank god!)
