@engineer,
For a doctor to diagnose someone in absentia, especially someone he hates, is irresponsible.

So many polls have been wrong in recent times, I have no faith in them anymore. I consider them to be as good as psychic predictions.

@Mame,
Nothing beats a bit of necromancy.

If you look at them as snapshots of a particular segment of opinion at a specific time and take into account the chances of misunderstood questions, faithless responses, and whether the respondents will actually even vote, you won't see them as predictions of the outcome, and more as election-related noise we all have to endure. The most interesting aspect of them is the analysis, in hindsight, of where they went wrong.

@hightor,
It's content. Infotainment, really. And I'm not sure the analysis doesn't do much more than work to maintain reasons to continue polling in the future.

@edgarblythe,
I've gotten two threatening PM's from (of course) fictitious members claiming they are going to shoot me in the head after forcing me to engage in obnoxious sexual perversions with them. What in God's name do they think is going to happen? It's so frigging sad that this person thinks they have so much power over anybody. This is all because 'Trump' claims he won this last election.

Maybe you dipwads should notify my husband, son and nephews and let them punish me for voting for someone who is not a perverted sexual deviant.

@glitterbag,
I kind of get the feeling we might have voted the same way

@glitterbag,
I'm essentially invisible here. I don't even get the threats.

@edgarblythe,
You really don't want to see the threats, it's so discouraging to realize that a large number of people don't believe in the Constitution unless they are trying to forge it into a religious object. I grieve that our population is so seriously distracted that they actually put the orange muffin back in office.

@glitterbag,
I understand and I sympathize. I personally believe that our society and system are coming apart and have been for a long time. It's more evident now because they don't fear the people enough to hide it anymore.

@edgarblythe,
Hadn't thought of that, and I'm not disagreeing at all.

@edgarblythe,
Yes, it's like watching tv. The fact that even more people voted for someone who was indicted and convicted, boasted of grabbing women's crotches, has declared bankruptcy numerous times, has ripped off innocent creditors, has no interest in 'governing' at home or on the world stage (and in fact is interested in dismantling it), and is a rambling, incoherent 78 year old narcissist is sadder than sad.

I'm sure the world dreads the next four years.
