I will be going to the Wimbledon traps (UK) in a few weeks with work, and am totally unprepared as to what I should expect, having never been to an event like this before.

I have no idea what kind of thing to look for before betting, where to look, any important etiquette that I might need to be aware of, and other such things.

If anybody here goes, or has been previously, I would love to hear any tips or adivce you might have for a first timer.

Many thanks

I went once when I was in college so, eek, that was a good 20 years ago. But I recall the betting is similar to horse racing if you've ever done that. Can't recall if there's much of a racing form. I remember going to where they bring the dogs onto the track, lots of yipping and wagging tails. Smile

It's been 50 years since I've been to a greyhound race and all that I recall is the humerous sight as the dogs skidded around the turns, and just before the start the anouncer calling, "here comes the bunny and there goes your money".
