My lap is a short -run from about 1930's , its a National; I had to have the resonator and pickups redone but it sounds beautiful.

Give me a break, panzade. I was maybe five when Dylan sang that.

Dylan allegedly is great he just never did anything for me, I wouldn't know "Dylan" if I heard him to tell you the truth.

They have something going now that he is producing at the Old Globe. I can't imagine how he fits in with theatre but? Smile

His voice is so unique. I'd bet you know him if you heard him, fan or not.

Paul Simon tried to ease into theatre a few years ago. It seems to be a somewhat natural segue for artists and writers, to try their hand at all things creative. And that's a good thing, IMO.

I agree. Some people have great success in a second arena like Ron Howard has going from child actor to director-producer. And from a hobbyist's point of view I enjoy writing very much and now I am successful (in pleasing myself) enjoying my humble effort with music.

I play the piano, but wish I could play the violin, flute, guitar - something I could transport and play.

I also wish I could play the accordian - just because it's such a good-time sort of instrument- I always get in a good mood when I hear it. I feel like I'm at a carnival or something.

Well my hope is that by the time Fall rolls around I will be able to play well enough to participate in a little band for Oktoberfest. Very Happy

Pan-When I get my new OS installed and Im running XPII (Im still on Win 98 and theres so much **** I cant do well). Ive got all my pix loaded on CDs and Ill add some of the lap and peddle steel

Aidan, unless you like xydeco, the accordian is such a drek instrument. The story was
Whats the definition of an optimist"?
An accordian player with an agent.

I happen to love xydeco. I know the accordian's cheesy, but I can't help it - it just speaks to me...

I wouldn't need to play it professionally or anything - just for myself when I needed a pick me up.

There is a middle aged guy from the old country in our group that is trying to learn how to play the alto saxophone. I don't think he is going to make it. I can tell he doesn't practice much on his own.

He comes to group practice and takes up much time telling the leader about his various quirks, nearly all of which would be resolved if only he would practice. His horn is brand new!

A wise guy to boot, you know how some of those foreigners are, they like to play dumb because they get attention, think they are cute. They aren't that dumb. Ivan IS lazy though.

I think: If the rest of your people are like you Ivan, we worried about absolutely nothing during the Cold War. Laughing
