It's a 2-parter Question, but feel free to lurk...or answer whichever one/s suit your fancy.

I'll start. I play, teach & compose for the cello & piano.

I'm also a Lady who *hearts* the BLUES.

I play a lil guitar and sing.

I've always wanted to play trumpet!! I just love horns. I don't have the discipline though, so i settle for listening:)

None.

I failed at violin and piano and am many things but not a singer. The good news is I have a rather extensive collection of music on records (yes I still have them), tapes (gradually transferring them) and CDs...everything from classical to jazz to bluegrass to heavy metal to funeral dirges to Broadway musicals to the standards to patriotic tunes to gospel to... well, you get the idea. Love music, love to listen, just never figured out how to play it. Now if you want words to go with that music I might be able to help.

A 4-string Ibanez, not a very expensive one. Not the absolute cheapest either.

It's fun as hell, I wish I started learning when I wanted to as a kid.

To say I "play" would be charitable, but I bash around now and then on my Fender Stratocaster and Washburn accoustic guitars.

Keep us apprised

Big struggle with our drummer. He wants to call out the tempo even if the singer disagrees with the feel. Screwing up our shows.

Made a big breakthrough in my piano soloing last night.
Just got a PC program called slow blast that allows you to set up a loop at half speed without changing the pitch. I finally learned that great piano solo in Skynyrd's "I Know A Little".
Can't play it at full speed...but I'll keep at it.

I used to play piano and trumpet.

I was pretty good at the trumpet but quit playing in my highschool rebellion days. I still remember the fingering for the notes from low C up through high D. My mom always said I would regret playing some day... Iresisted telling her that she was right.

I always like the piano and still fool around on it once in awhile. My sister was always the good piano player though. If I culd pick songs up half as fast as she did I would be very happy.

...Flute, Bagpipes (Fantastic!), Guitars (ooh Fender Stratocaster, Bass, Violin, (I *heart*) = Violas, Voice, Drums. Lovely! We've got quite a symphony here...

Well, thanks for the shoutout guys--this was my first thread & I was a bit 'fraid of checking back to a lonely one.

Some other random musings:
~Everytime I hear "Concerto de Aranjuez" I suddenly acquire guitar-itis. Problem is solved just by turning my cello on its side and playing pizz on my new axe. BTW, I also am quite an accomplished Air Guitarrist. Laughing

~Re: Tweenage Rebellion & Music Studies -- 1) I quit the piano/cello for many years because all my best girlfriends had long fake press-on fingernails. Apparently, this was better than Bach. 2) I used to pretend I had a learning disability and ignore all those silly lil dynamics and rhythmic notations like 16th notes & rests. Told teacher(s) I was using rubato as Creative License.

& Oh. One more thing I forgot to add in the answer to my original post: before I die, I'm gonna learn me the big ol' bowed Double String Bass.

Panzade!
I flick my Zippo lighter to honour the Upright Bass (because when he thunders, one's gut just *gets* whatever it is he's talkin' about) & salute you with that index & pinky finger thingy that they do @ Ozzy concerts, because....well, You Rock, man!!! Cool

Lucky.

Signed~

Panzade, come on, you can't still be embarrassed by the praise of women, can you? I mean, after the thousands of hot little groupies you've had, you must be used to it by now, right? The rock star life, eh?
