Life amounts to a compromise, a give and take.
What you give, goes around, comes around, then either
a) you take it, or
b) it takes you.

But usually, you get what you give, so
if you want to take yourself seriously
you simply need to give yourself seriously, first.

At least that's the way I heard it. :-)
