What are your favorite game shows?

I'll add your unique answers to the IMDb Poll suggestion (if they haven't been chosen already) and if they have a respective IMDb page (most I suspect already do). Both TV and streaming content are applicable.

I used to watch family feud once in a while, Steve Harvey can be pretty funny. I read once he used to be homeless and living in his car. He's now a millionaire.

I used to like the bantering on Hollywood Squares. Some old faces on there (Paul Lynde, for one). And the old Newlywed Game had some funny answers on it. Looking at a couple on youtube, I can't believe how stupid some people were.

@Ragman,
Yeah, they were all pretty funny, but he could knock 'em out of the park.

Pointless.

It's the opposite of family fortunes.

Like that, the panel of 100 is asked, but the obscure answers are what matters.

The aim of the game is to get a low a score as possible, the ultimate being a pointless answer.

If the category was Beatles singles you wouldn't want to go for I wanna hold your hand which is very popular, you'd be better off with Free as a Bird which was released in 1995.

It took over the slot from The Weakest Link, and while Ann Robinson was nasty and rude Alexander Armstrong is polite and friendly.

@Mame,
After I posted my last note, I watched the show on YouTube. Charlie Weaver , Wally Cox, Buddy Hackett and Paul Lynda. Paul had the funniest lines.

"What's My Line." There are 17 years and they're all good. That's coming from someone who doesn't particularly like game shows.

@Brandon9000,
The original shows with Dorothy Kilgallen, Fred allen, Arlene Francis,, Bennet Cerf, and John Daly was the greatest game show ever. Nothing came close after that. Brilliant and witty minds.

Match Game was pretty good. It had a good mix of celebrity personalities.

You're correct about that. Bennet Cerf once, in a rare moment of candor, said that John Daly had done more to make the show a success than the rest of them put together. When they later (1968, I think) made the new syndicated series, the person they chose to fill Daly's former role was chosen, at least in part, because he had been a reporter at ABC News and Daly had been a reporter at ABC news.
