Is Fetch Rewards really legit?

It is a app where you supposedly can earn gift cards by scanning receipts. But I belong to a few Fetch groups on Facebook and Fetch on Reddit and saw alot of stories of people getting a instant ban when they want to cash out. And those people said they did nothing wrong. Makes me wonder was it a mistake joining Fetch since theres a chance I won't be able to use my points?

I'm already been a member for a month and am 3000 points away from a $10 gift card (10,000 points)
