Aw, Bear... you're right, I'm the Kitten, you're the Bear.

Seems to me they shouldna made you wait several days for this test. Along with everyone else, I'm anxiously awaiting the results.

Shall we all keep a vigil? I'm still not certain what the surgery is all about.

The Bear is having a G. I test, not surgery---although it might seem like it as they mess with his butt.

Not surgery. He just had to drink some yucky stuff, then let them watch as it goes through his system which will take about 4 hours. Non invasive.

He took a book and his CD player with headset, so I stayed home. Not really something I could be in on with him being in a scanner.Regular Doc is across the street from radiologist so he's gonna check in there, too.

I mentioned the kidneys to him last night, so he knows to bring that up.

Waiting with second set of keys in hand in case he calls with a change of plans.

Of course, I offered to take him to the hospital last night, but he didn't think it was warranted. I'm actually more concerned that it may be kidneys or perhaps something left in during surgery. Fever shouldn't be at this stage post-op and probably would have held off a few weeks due to the high antibiotic doses he was getting before.

Will let you know if I hear anything.

Wait a minute! Is the doctor just going to "check in" with the radiologist, or will he actually see Bear? Often they don't check the patient...they leave that for office visits.

I'd call him myself, Squinney, and tell him about the fever, severe pain & your suspicions about the kidneys. Please!

Good News... all G.I. tests normal

Bad News..... back to the drawing board. They're sending the test results and picts to my doc and he's going to call me for a quick appointment, probbly later today or in the morning. I need a nap.

To be sent to see if your bowels and colon are obstructed...something I rarely hear of having a good outome... and to find out that you're okay is good news. I'll settle for it for just now. I'm really exhausted. Slept from **** last night and need a nap.
