I wouldn't wait until tomorrow. So much physical distress AND a fever? Sounds like an emergency room trip is indicated. Really. Seriously.

Squinney...since he's in worse pain and running a fever again, couldn't you at least call the doctor's 24-hr. answering service and put in a call? I'd check with him about this pronto. Won't cost anything to call.

I took more pain medication. I'm going to bed. 8:15 am tomorrow is my appointment. You have shown me such kindness it seems almost insulting on my part to bring it up but please give a positive thought or prayer or whatever tomorrow. I don't mind tell you I'm getting worried and I'm feeling creepy about this. I'm supposed to be the Bear, not the kitten.

Of course I will send good vibes your way (silly old bear). I'll even be up before 8:15 - very unusual.

Good luck BPB.

Me, I'd say call the m.d. (which of course means leave a message with the answering service) to let him know the level of distress with which you arrive at the hospital in the morning. Get him tuned, tonight or early morning, not kidding.

Not to devolve into me, but when my lens flung back in my eye, my surgeon was there physically with some handykit near midnight, and prepped me with myriad drops, one per hour, for the ride to the retinal specialist.

So, ****, get the guy out of bed.

I guess I should explain that that was at the friend's house with an exploding eye, friend who was driving me at 3 a.m. I never saw a bill for that, it was part of his surgery bill in the first place and all the visits afterwards. (Let me recommend him, he is a prince.)

Anyway, I have no patience for not following up by phone at least. Every one of my docs would do that.

Not to get political.

But, never mind politics, let him know.

Yeah, wake him up, Bear. That's why he gets paid the big bucks. He's used to it.

As far as good thoughts, prayers, vibes, etc. for tomorrow....come on. You don't even have to ask.
