You can't see the self-as-subject as an object because it's the thing that sees. You can try to gain a vantage point on the self-as-subject by looking at an objective map of everything. But you'll find that it's not on the map. Beware the assumption that this means it doesn't exist.
Recognition of the Subject is in the sentence: "I am."

Substance is the self. Law mediates subject and object. There's no other way to speak but to surrender to Law. Law is the means to accomplish separation. Law is the grand companion of awareness. Only through Law could the separation exist... this separation is awareness.
