Hello!
I have a gene variant that causes me to be a slow metabolizer of caffeine. I'm thinking about going from 16:8 fasting to OMAD. Now I'm asking me, does my body metabolize caffeine faster, when I'm in a fasted state?
I could imagine that my liver has less to do when it does not have to metabolize lunch after switching to OMAD, and thus has more free capacity to metabolize caffeine.
When I'm doing 16:8 I can't have a coffee at 2pm without having sleep issues (i.e. waking up at 4am, being unable to fall asleep).
So maybe when doing OMAD (i.e. no lunch), I could have that cup of coffee around 1pm or 2pm.
Best regards,
Torgoron
