Pause to consider.....he who hesitates is lost.
"JOE OWENS"
Pause to consider:
that with each heart beat
your life is spending itself,
for there are a limited number
of heartbeats in the life of anyone.
Make every single heart beat worthwhile.
Like your topic AK! Good one - especially for a nation
of people who rarely pause to even eat a meal - let
alone have large amounts of time to spare for such
silly things as contemplation.
Darn it babs - I had to stop counting money to count a tick or two from the ticker and multiply - ya ya ya
Thanks Babs........So don't beat it away fruitlessly
Pause to consider:
What could it be that I may have said,
which created in Husker a sense of dread?
Was it hearing about the seeds of death,
we each contain, hearing that beat-beat-beat?
This simply helps each one of us all
and serves to make us think
and very, very fortunately so.
What else but looking in the face of death,
could possibly help us learn how to live ...
more meaningfully, more mindfully, more
fully and more deliberately.
For we must all have something to remind us,
during each and every one of our days in this life.
While every day that passes, we blithely and
blindly persist in our denial of death and dying.
Even though we are really deep down fully
aware, that no one gets out of here alive.

AND you got the point perfectly, Sir AK!!
Waste not one single beat of our precious lives!!
The Tell Time Heart
Ye olde ticker
No one gets out of here alive.....Bravo Babsatamelia
