Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near?
They go for the seeds in my hair.
They are attracted to my big pecker.
it's the breadcrusts i've got glued to my shoes

(they long to be)
Why do birds
Suddenly appear?
Everytime you are near
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
Why do stars
Fall down from the sky?
Everytime you walk by
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
(*) on the day that you were born
The angels got together and decided
To create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moondust in your hair
Of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue
(**) that is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
Repeat (*)
Repeat (**)
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
Woo... close to you...nimh.
Don't mind the vultures: I didn't shower this morning.
They appear because we always feed them and they are hungry little critters.
They are also there when you are far, only appearing when you are close enough to see them.
Obviously, the little birds are trying to tell you something.
With all these wonderfully creative, flippant answers, it's beginning to look a lot like abuzz.
There are two reasons that I can think of why birds fly to humans. Birds that are often fed by people, say in the city or in camping areas, may well be after food. In the Spring during nesting season it could be a diversionary tactic to lead you away from the nest, often with a noticable call to attract your attention. They do this to other predators too.
I dunno. Let's ask Heeven.
Good point Eva. Perhaps she knows why every time I poke my nose out of the door, there's this creature staring at me:
Why? Because I'm a messy eater of crusty bread rolls! They share my meal & clean up my mess. Besides, I'm a sucker: I tend to throw bits of bread to the waiting birds at outdoor cafes. Keeps both me & them happy!
They do?! Birds follow me too? I though it was only the CIA, FBI, KGB and the Ukrainian mafia... one more thing to worry about!
When I go to a friend's home, her dove always lands on my head. It only lands on men, not being partial to women.
A pigeon once shat on my head ... nasty business. Do you think it did it on purpose? Perhaps she was not partial to men...
