In this latest police traffic-stop killing, one interesting factoid that’s doubtless going to come up :
The officer is claiming he feared for his life because Mr Lyoya had gotten his taser. The cop had already deployed the taser twice - that taser wasn’t any more deadly than any lump of plastic.

So, I guess we’ll see.

@snood,
The officer had been half-tazed in training, he knew exactly how pissed off the driver was.

If they can murder a small 12 yr old kid with an obviously toy gun within 8 seconds of running up on him in a city park ... well, another cop will murder and skip,

@snood,
"Intent" is a factor in severity of sentence in both directions. I get it, but it should be a weighted consideration. If intent makes up 10% of the elements of a crime, why did that murdering cop get more than 50% of her sentence adjusted.

@Region Philbis,
Works for me. The part that still kills me is how because dad was a retired cop and father and son both worked in law enforcement, how the blue curtain tried to let this murder slip under the door.
