Posting on Instagram from a Windows PC

I have discovered that it is possible to post on Instagram from a Windows PC.
From the toolbar enter More Tools > Developer Tools
The Developer window appears.
Click on the Toggle Device Toolbar icon
The cursor appears in your Instagram user window. The cursor is a semi-transparent grey circle.
From here you can create a post as for a normal Instagram post from an Android device. You can access photographs by select and browse, or dragging and dropping. You can also copy and paste text into your caption from Windows.
The only difference is that the hashtags do not seem to work. I have done a couple of posts by this method and I have not had a single access to any of my posts via hashtags or my profile. Normally I would expect up to half the accesses to be from accounts who are not followers.
I have checked a sample of my hashtag pages by clicking on the hashtag and going to the page, and my post does not appear.
Any ideas?
