Happy New Year of the Wood Snake 2025! I hope this is a great year for all, cats included, with many more to follow (years, that is -- but many more cats, too...)!
(I was wondering how to work cats into a New Year greeting, now I know.)
Now that I've got your attention, I have a question for our computer-knowledgeable members...
One of my laptop cats -- er, computers, uses Windows 10 Home Edition. I get a pop-up telling me that I can download and install Win 11 for free. Of course, MicroSoft absolutely crows over Win 11 (like they did for every previous version of Windows).
Has anyone done this already? Is it a limited-function trial edition?
Is it actually "free" or is there some catch or hidden fee that will come back to make me miserable sometime later?
By the way, my cats use windows too, all versions -- just not the computer program...
Found th following, but not on the Microsoft site...
"You can use Windows 11 indefinitely without activating it with a license, but you'll see "Activate Windows" watermarks and reminders, and lose access to many personalization settings."
