IM 13 years old needing to kno what to eat

hello im 13 years old and i wanna become a model and in order to do this i have to have a good weight i weigh 121 or prolly more now i dont have a scale and i need to be 115 cause thats what i should be at my age. im 5'4 too. i have lost all my baby fat now and i just ned to kno how to eat. im addicted to pepsi and i kno i need to stop drinking it but its really hard. i dunno what to eat in my house cause we dont have alot of diet or low calorie foods and i would like to kno what to eat so i can go to the store and buy what i need to eat. if you kno anything about dieting or just eating right and what kinds of food please tell me. thank you!

You are not going to want to hear this but I'll say it anyway. Excersise! And about food, avoid eating out, especially at McDonalds... How about going on a vegetarian diet? Smile

Going on a vegetarian diet suddenly (unless you're really motivated!) can be quite tough. I was vegetarian for something like 15 years so I think I have some insight here. You'd need to relearn a lot of eating habits to do it successfully & you need to be very committed & organized. I know it sounds like a cliche, but the best thing you can do for your body & your health at your age is to eat a balanced diet (A good variety of the foods your body needs), get lots of exercise & avoid junk food (& drinks). Lots of fresh fruit & vegetables are very good for you, too! Good luck! Very Happy

i couldnt possibly go on a vegatarian diet lol i like meat i feel really bad about eating poor animals just our family was raised into eating meat lol. yah i need to eat more vegetables and fruit, the only problem i have is eating my breakfast lunch and dinner i dunno what to eat for those. i had a salad this moring for lunch i usually wake up later so i dont have breakfast it automatically goes to lunch but i have cereal when i go bak to school. dinner we either have take out or my mom cooks lol. so its really hard for me to eat good things cause i duno what to eat yet.

Baby steps.
Begin with swapping that sugar and caffeine infested beverage for the diet version, and takin in water on a more regular basis. Then once you've adapted to that, wean yourself off the dehydrating caffeine and onto pure water...or one of those low calorie flavored Aquafina waters.
Pepsi provides you with nothing of benefit, and the hazards of drinking Coke/Pepsi are well documented. Take the time to research why it's bad and you'll be more inclined to cut it out of your daily diet.

If there's one meal you need to eat more than any other, it's breakfast. Eat something high in carbohydrates (preferably something with protein--an 8 oz. glass of milk would suffice for someone your size) and nothing sugary. If you need sugar to take away the bland taste, use a hint of Splenda sweetener. Breakfast boosts your metabolism and gets things rolling for the day--and I mean energy!!

If you like salad, enjoy it with light (*both "lite" and not much of it) dressing, or watered down dressing. Add a chicken breast, cheddar cheese and different veggies to make it interesting.

My rule of thumb is eat 5-6 small meals rather than 3 larger ones, and try not to eat much after 7pm, or 3 hours before bedtime.
