Are there any species where if you cut one in two, each would grow back to a full one? Would that give them immortality?

Theoretically yes, but as they’re such low life forms they’re more likely to get eaten.

planaria were used to demonstrate partitioning .. You could spliet em in half and youd have two new individuals.
Read up on Apoptosis when you think about individual immortality
