So I saw this flick last night. And I must say I was rolling the whole entire film. Vince Vaugh and Owen Wilson kept me laughing through out the whole movie. Though it was the over played, guy lies to sleep girl, guy falls in ilove with girl, girls jealous fiance kick his butt and reveals the truth, girl hates guy guy wins her back, it was a great. It didnt feel like the same old movie. There was s fresh new twist to me. And the cameo at the end was just perfect. I hope all that see it enjoy it as much as I did.

I guess sunday im gonna go see Willy Wanka.

Thanks for that review and vote, seed. Wedding Crashers is on my short list of movies I want to see in the next couple of weeks.

Willie Wonka's number one on the list - I think I've almost convinced my kid escort that she'd rather see Willie than Lava Girl.

We're going to see "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" today. I'm very excited! And from what I have heard "Wedding Crashers" is hilarious! I have always liked Vince Vaughn though. Next on my list methinks. I finally got around to seeing "The Hitch Hikers Guide ti the Galaxy" the other night. It was cute and didn't require much thinking and was the perfect distraction from an otherwise crappy day. My fiance is actually reading the book to me, a chapter a night, so it's been kind of fun to see the movie/book differences.

Can't wait for this afternoon! Smile

Ohhhh! I most highly recommend "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"!
Most assuredly if you are a Depp fan! I absolutely loved this movie! With a bit of Tim Burton's dark side mixed with Depp's incredible adaptation of Willy Wonka, I could not help but fall in love with Johnny Depp once again! Depp's Wonka character played so very well with "Charlie". Perhaps this was because they had previously worked together in "Finding Neverland"?

I swear, the more I see of Johnny Depp, the more and more convinced I am of his outstanding place in character adaptation. Either that or I am just very moved by how incredibly sexy he is no matter what role he has.....the man is amazing. Smile

Cool, LadyJ!

What would you think of bringing a 4.5 year old to it? Boobies wouldn't bother her (or me), language might bother me depending on just how bad it is.

soz,

I think your little sozlet could handle it just fine. There are no boobies in "Charlie" and there is no swearing at all. It's funny enough to keep a small one entertained and some of the darker humor that adults would get would surely go right over a childs head, still without making them feel left out.

It's exciting, with lots of action, teaches manners in not so subtle ways and has a wonderful, wonderful ending. I don't think I would hold back on taking someone sozlet's age. She's a smart cookie and would probably enjoy it very much.

My work "buddy" saw both films over the weekend. Loved The Wedding Crashers, wasn't so fond of Charlie as it wasn't as upbeat as the original. Since she wasn't even aware there was a book Shocked , she wasn't so concerned about the current movie reflecting the comparative darkness of the book. She prefers the lighter original movie.

I'm still going to try to see one or both this upcoming weekend.
