@BillW,
That insurrection was planned almost like a barbecue or barroom brawl. Only an idiot like Trump would expect it to have any success.

Here's a bit of a smile - or cause to be ill - Randy Quaid is thinking about running in CA.

@Mame,
It's not an A or B option. And long term solutions are much better than short term solutions that have long term issues.

My answer would be to remove or modify the government systems that teach people (almost institutionalised) disrespect, deskills them, disempowers them, lowers self-esteem, and those systems that encourage people to be greedy, self entitled, disregard community good etc.

Each of those is a topic in itself. I'm happy to explain them, but I don't think anyone would desire me to do so on this thread, as it is meant to deal with Chauvin and similar incidents.

Interesting how my two suggestions have been passed over (ignored) in favour (Cdn spelling) of simply arguing the same old **** every day. Every bloody thread. What have you actually ACCOMPLISHED??

I actually don't care if you respond, but, seriously, HOW else to change the future if not via the future itself? And if we don't, who knows where the hell we'll be? This is exactly what's wrong the world over. People just talking, talking, talking, but nobody seriously THINKING about what to do about it and then DOING it.

You haven't solved one bloody issue, or agreed on a system or plan.

You have accomplished NOTHING.

@glitterbag,

Ok, I've read your post three times and it still doesn't make any sense, unless you are trying to tell me you feel slighted and you think I somehow missed that
You said:

People should be challenged when they propose faulty ideas and claim it to be critical thinking. It IS a discussion forum, sometimes a conversation, but when it's a discussion you should at least entertain the idea that perhaps you are way out in left field regarding certain issues.

What is the point you are trying to make for the part in blue? If you have no issue with what I wrote, then it would be pointless to say it. So I'm presuming you have a point you wish to make to me, related to the first part of your paragraph (about your thoughts on challenging critical thinking). So I asked if I had missed some critical thinking displayed by Edgar in relation to his solution.

Perhaps you wrote it for some other reason?

@vikorr,
There's no way you're going to do that with the current populace. So good luck with that. And I don't care what thread this is on - it applies to everything.

@Mame,
From your last post, I presumed you didn't want a reply?

How many of those reading this interesting thread think that the massive votes down of those who think that law enforcement need to be retool is not a fake?

@BillRM,
I'm 99.9% certain it is a closet white supremacist - who else would be so against reform that they feel the need for anonymous & obsessive down thumbing...all because they aren't able to articulate their thoughts as to why they are against reform?
