Despite announcing his plan to run for the White House again in 2024, the former president hasn’t been up to much lately, even with his less-than-favorable polling and the Republican Party’s disappointments from the midterm elections. Nonetheless, Trump drew intrigue on Wednesday when he released a video on Truth Social declaring “AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!”

To go along with the Truth post, Trump released a video on his card collector’s website where he promoted the NFT collection as featuring “some of the real incredible artwork,” and claimed that chances to win prizes would be dispensed among purchasers.

“Buy one and you will join a very exclusive community,” he says. “It’s my community and I think its something you’re going to like and you’re going to like it a lot.”

I know, totally insane. I feel he's basically given up on seeking another term and figures he'll just keep grifting his rabid followers. I wonder how many McGentrix has bought?

Mwa ha ha ha! That is friggin' hilarious! I went to that site and couldn't stop laughing. The guy is so pathetic. $99 each, for Pete's sake. The prizes all involve him - a zoom call, a dinner, a one hour round of golf... and the cards are completely laughable - same head in most of them, and a slimmed-down body.

Far-right internet troll and infamous Capitol rioter Anthime "Tim" Gionet joined fellow supporters of former President Donald Trump on Twitter Thursday in expressing disappointment over Trump's "major announcement" earlier in the day.

Gionet, better known as "Baked Alaska," pleaded guilty in July for his part in the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, according to court documents.

The online personality had live-streamed himself and other Trump supporters as they broke into the Capitol, and was captured in footage stepping into the office of Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

On Thursday, Gionet lamented about his prior dedication to the former president, tweeting, "i can't believe i'm going to jail for an nft salesman."
