All right, maybe I'm an iconoclast concerning Trump, but it's terrifying to me that people think of him as an icon. Maybe he's a con, but not an icon.

Failed prime minister Liz Truss is trying to hawk her book at Trump rallies, deducing that Trump,voters are stupid enough to buy that crap.

Her book had to be recalled because it contained an antisemitic quote wrongly attributed to Rothschild about controlling a country's money.

Meadows, Giuliani among indicted in Arizona in latest 2020 election subversion case

A grand jury in Arizona has handed up an indictment against former President Donald Trump’s allies over their efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, including the fake electors from that state and several individuals connected to his campaign.

Boris Epshteyn, a former White House aide who remains one of Trump’s closest advisers, former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Rudy Giuliani are among those who have been indicted, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes, a Democrat, announced the indictment Wednesday night, focusing on the 11 individuals who acted as pro-Trump electors in the state. The names of several other indicted defendants remain redacted, Mayes said in a statement Wednesday, until those people have been served.

“A state grand jury made up of everyday regular Arizonans, has now handed down felony indictments for all 11 Republican electors as well as several others connected to this team,” Mayes said. “These are serious indictments, but this is the first hurdle the state must pass in our constitutional criminal justice system.”

While Trump is not among those charged in Arizona, the details in the indictment suggest he is “Unindicted Coconspirator 1.”

a slap on the wrist, but it could quickly escalate...

Trump fined $9,000 for violating gag order in hush money case

Judge Juan Merchan has fined former President Donald Trump for repeatedly violating the gag order in the hush money trial.

Trump must also remove the seven “offending posts” from Truth Social and the two “offending posts” from his campaign website by 2:15 p.m. ET Tuesday.

Merchan ruled Trump violated the gag order nine times for criticizing expected trial witnesses in posts on social media and his campaign page. Trump must pay the $9,000 fine by the end of the week.

Merchan also threatened incarceration if Trump willfully violates the gag order again, writing in his ruling, “THEREFORE, Defendant is hereby warned that the Court will not tolerate continued willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment.”

@Region Philbis,
When he couldn't get his bonding right after Truth Social (neither of which, "Truth" or "Social', it is) was audited to give a value to the company for it's stock sale. TFG said it was worth a quadrillion. And no bond? I knew for sure then, he hasn't slowed his roll a bit - a grifter gotta grift.

Appeals court upholds Steve Bannon’s contempt-of-Congress conviction for defying Jan. 6 subpoena

Bannon was sentenced to four months in federal prison, and that sentence was also upheld Friday by the appeals court.
The ruling could pave the way for Bannon to eventually report to prison, though the timing is unclear.

@Region Philbis,
I'm really confused by this. Surely if he was sentenced to prison, and his appeal was denied, shouldn't he have been put in prison straight away? This sounds like he can just do it in his own time whenever he feels like it.

Continuing on from same article Region has quoted from:

The judge who presided over Bannon’s trial previously agreed to let him hold off from serving his sentence while his appeal played out. In its ruling Friday, the three-judge appeals panel gave Bannon time to appeal its ruling to the full DC-based appeals court before it formally notifies the trial judge that the conviction was upheld.

Bannon could also turn directly to the Supreme Court for additional appeals, possibly further delaying when he needs to start serving his prison term.
