i saw this perhaps 40-50 years ago. on T.V. it was in black/white , but our TV was b/w also. " Come to the Capitol . Bring your Guns . " -outdoor scene very near end of Movie; when main character is losing on election night.

Am old enough to have remember such a TV movie and I am blank.
Could it be a outer limit or twilight zone play?

i think it was an actual Motion Picture,older, on our one channel local T.V.

- it was kind of a Huey Long Character { Louisiana Gov. }, big with the rural, farmers, etc.
