Can landlord evict because of boyfriend being over? Just moved in two weeks ago. The landlord is talking of eviction because his father has come over 3 times for repairs which were not done and 2 of those times he saw my boyfriend. The landlord claims that my boyfriend is living here (which he is not) and he is not on the lease. He has also claimed other tenants complaining of company peeling out after leaving (not true) and that other tenants heard swearing. It might be possible about the swearing thing but it was early. I am on a year lease. The oven does not work, the air conditioner is leaking into the apartment with mold forming on the wall, and there is an abundant amount of ants in the apartment. I have asked for these things to be fixed upon the second day of tendency. None of have been fixed. The landlord is more concerned about my boyfriend. My boyfriend has not spent the night every night. Please help. Don't know what to do or who to contact.
Take him to court! Sounds like he is a bad landlord!! Mold isn't right let alone anything else, my cousin is going through this right now and because she is taking him to court she gets to hold onto her rent until he fixes everything (which means sheis living there for free)
