Porn messages in PMs

Yes, we know about them. We're looking into whether we can delete all those messages or least replace the message text with a message stating the message content was deleted.

There were 364 of those userids. They are all suspended. We haz a tired. Thanks for your kind support.

These spammers were as prolific and destructive as that infamous lepus plague back in 1972.

This made me aware that I can't find any reporting mechanism on this site. Never needed it before.

For a PM, send a message to "Contact Us", located near the bottom right of each page. For reporting an individual post, click on "Report" in the upper left region of the offending post.

Hi and thanks. Do you mean in the messages? Because if the messages are deleted, then that's taken care of. If you mean in the registration system, keeping the addresses in but the accounts suspended means that the addresses cannot be reused. But in a way that doesn't matter.

These were, given the number of accounts created in such a short time frame, created by bots. The addresses used are throwaways.

First and foremost, I'm just glad that somebotty cared enough to send me a message.

Next, if the "You've got mail!" banner bothers you just open and close each message and bingo no more you've got mail message.

Finally, spare a thought for the less fortunate in this world (cleaning out the cages could take a while).

Thanks for all your work, Jespah. And there had to be a lot of it with this last batch of crap. I'm sure everyone here appreciates it.
