We went out again last weekend and landed three leopards, the biggest about 28". One guy pulled in a fat four-footer which he kept. These things bark like dogs when out of the water. Thank goodness they aren't very toothy, at least when young.
Very fun, but they don't fight like stripers or big trout. At first they'll really rip your line - I watched one guy's pole get taken right over the rail and out to sea - but then they kind of give up. The stingrays are actually better fighters. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the ray one guy pulled in.
Something odd as well - a seal showed up and was going after the shark on the stringer. The fisherman was none too thrilled.
