A virus I can't delete

I have been experiencing problems with my XP computer

I have run the Norton scan and found a virus but Norton cannot Quarantine or delete the virus, the virus is a Trojan and the reference is
eied s7 c 77.exe can anybody help please.

Andy, Welcome to a2k. Under the Computer Forum, there's a step-by-step instruction prepared by timber (moderator on a2k) on how to get rid of the worm/virus. Make a hard copy, and follow his instruction to the letter. After you get rid of the worm, return to a2k and join in the fun. Wink

I also have this virus, did you find out how to remove it? if so i would really appreciate your advice.

Note the complete path and filename Norton reports, boot to safe mode, logged on to Windows as Administrator, use Window Explorer to locate the file, and try to rename or delete it. Personally, I'd rename it first (which should prevent it from executing), then wait a while to make sure everything else is working OK.

Its possible it might resist renaming or deleting - if so, there are workarounds. If you lemme know here on this thread what happens when you try, I might be able to offer more help.


BTW - that's likely not an all-by-itself file; its prolly related to a buncha other yuckware. You might wanna have a look at THIS
