Each day, the first person to post* what day it is will win that day.

I'll start. Since it's 22:57 hours GMT, it's still Thursday. I win this round.

*We'll use GMT/Greenwich Mean Time as the officially recognized time for the change of day and date

@cherrie,
Uh oh...

I was wondering when Australian time would get here.

It's sort of like the New Year's Eve celebrations. By the time it arrives in New York, you're already eating New Year's Day dinner.

...albeit, an early dinner...

@Sturgis,
We're recovering from our hangovers while everyone else is still working on theirs.

That’s more than we’re doing. Currently on BST British Summer Time it’s GMT +1

@izzythepush,
There was a letter to the editor in my local paper a couple of weeks ago from some bloke who didn't like daylight savings, and clearly didn't understand how it worked.

He felt that summer days were already long enough, and if we had to have this extra hour every day, it would be much better to add them to winter days so it wouldn't get dark so early.

@cherrie,
We tend to have this debate when it comes to turning the clocks back. Why not stay on BST all year round, after all during WW2 we were on BST during the winter and BST +1 during the Summer.

It always comes down to some miserable farmer in the highlands of Scotland complaining he’d never see any light at all for the first 6 or 7 hours of his day.

@izzythepush,
The problem was that he believed that there was actually an extra hour put into each day, not just that the clocks were changed, and that we could take those extra hours and put them to better use in winter.

@bobsal u1553115,
Strangely enough, when I arrived here today it was already Sunday in certain places. Even places without roads or airports.

I'm not sure what I think about this, since, I don't actually believe in time as anything other than a device created by people as a weapon against the serfs.

At long last, it's clear why standard meditation is impossible for me. it relies heavily on the structure of time.
