I understand that the federal government recently released a list of the entities that received funds pursuant to the Paycheck Protection Plan.

How can I find the (searchable) list?

@gollum,
https://sba.app.box.com/s/tvb0v5i57oa8gc6b5dcm9cyw7y2ms6pp

But keep in mind, the PPP has had a ton of data problems since Day One.

I downloaded (and ended up getting every state for loans under $150k) the file. In Mass., for example, there were around 95,000 recipients in that category.

Keep in mind, the data is scrubbed. So you don't see names. You see the following for the state lists:
  • Loan Amount
  • City
  • State
  • Zip
  • NAICS code (this is a code which tells you the type of industry a business is in (see: https://www.naics.com/search/)
  • Business type (corporation, etc.)
  • Race
  • Gender
  • Veteran status
  • Nonprofit (Y/N)
  • Number of jobs retained
  • Date approved
  • Lender
  • CD (since these just say MA {for Massachusetts} hyphen and then a 2-digit number up to 13, I figure they may have something to do with where the bank is but I really don't know)
For $150k plus loans, the listings are similar with the following exceptions:
  • Loan Range instead of Loan Amount
  • Business Name
  • Business Address
There are over 66,000 entities on that list. They include:
  • Bertucci's (an Italian restaurant chain): $5 - 10 M
  • California Northstate University (also $5 - 10 M)
  • Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (another $5 - 10 M)
  • Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital in Hawaii (yet another $5 - 10 M)
Pretty fascinating stuff.

@jespah,
jespah-

Thank you

I clicked the hypertext that you provided and obtained:

The hypertext: All Data by State.

I clicked that and obtained a hypertext list of the State names.

I clicked New York, and obtained:

1) PPP Data up to 150K - NY.csv

2) PPP Loan Data - Key Aspects.pdf

But neither are hypertext (i.e., I can not click them).

@gollum,
I had the same problem. There's a download button on that page in the upper right corner.
