Yes! We have chinooks all the time, so that'd be more appropriate. The other names here fit - Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Stampeders.

We have a similar move here, the Rugby Union side Exeter Chiefs is changing its logo, the name remains, but instead of a native American it's a Celtic warrior.

The name stays the same, the argument being that the Celts had chiefs too.
