Skin VERY sensitive to humidity, please help

So when I was in school I got severe acne and I treated it very harshly all throughout high school. It just got worse and worse and my skin became very sensitive. I did professional skin peels, tried every type of treatment, you name it. It wasn't until I cut out sugar and gluten from my diet that I stopped getting acne, but what I was left with was extremely sensitive skin. I started using natural oils after high school and they helped a lot more than anything else, only every time I used them they seemed to peel skin off my face. I thought this was good because exfoliation is supposedly good for you. After I while though I noticed my face was becoming paler than the rest of my body, so I stopped.

My face at that point was extremely sensitive to humidity and water, and getting it wet would make my face feel bone-dry. When the humidity would change and everything would get hotter in summer months I noticed my face would stop accepting whatever I would put into it and get really tight. Anything I put on it would just make it feel like it was sitting there without absorbing. I would have to find a new oil of some sort and my face would "unlock" and go back to normal. Any oil I had used before wouldn't work, it HAD to be something new. This happened every few months when there was a change in humidity.

It wasn't until I got in touch with a skin specialist who tailored a list of products for me and they really worked. I never felt better. Only when summer rolled around again the same thing happened. I'm worried this will continue for the rest of my life, or that I will run out of solutions. All I really want to know is WHY this keeps happening, and if there is a solution. I want to be able to enjoy summer again, I haven't been able to for years.

@jauncyreilly,
Maybe you should go back to your skin specialist and ask about this.
