How To Download a Video From Youtube to A2K

Reply Tue 14 Apr, 2020 12:58 pm
Often on A2K, there are discussions where a member will download a song from Youtube. I am afraid the my computer learning curve has gone flat, and for the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to do it.

What I can do, is copy and paste the URL. What I want to do is copy the video, so that another member can play the song. BTW, I use an iMac.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

@Phoenix32890,
Enclose the youtube video link as follows:
The link is placed between the two bracketed youtube things.

Thanks, guys. I really think that I am going bonkers. I saw the explanation, and it sounded so familiar. Then I remembered that I used to do it all the time, years ago. Now, it completely eluded me. Thanks again!

O.K. Now I am able to do it. But there is something peculiar going on.

I copy the url from YouTube. (That is what I am talking about. I did NOT capitalize the Y and T in YouTube , but it came up that way anyhow.)

I type at the end of the url. The spelling is correct, Small letters for the y and t. I then go to the front of the url, and type I noticed that it comes out in small letters until I put in the bracket. Then the y and t become capitals. Each time I have to change the 2 letters.

It is annoying as hell. I never remember that happening in the past. Any explanations?

@Phoenix32890,
It has happened to me at times and it may have had something to do with the browser being used.

Hopefully, someone more internet knowledgeable can offer an answer and/or explain the reason.

(and yes, it is quite annoying)

@Sturgis,

sounds like an autocorrect issue, maybe...

@Region Philbis,
I can see that.

I detest so much of the autocorrect.
