Parting hug out into the night
Tired eyes in evening light
Orange glow u can't see right
Street lights don't blind me light my way.
Lonely trudging on discarded roads
Suburban days and city nights fade away
Like clockwork were only drudgery abodes
Street lights don't blind me light my way.
Falling down a well tripped hole
A preset track for me to run
The authority demands utter control
Street lights don't blind me light my way.
I find shelter in this ugly disguise
Pleading with god that tonight ill leave
Because cursed are those that that try to rise
Street lights don't blind me light my way.
Follow this perfected mechanism
Become the picture of western health
Then find the worlds a veiled stage
So, street lights don't blind me light my way.
please take it apart but dont be evily mean
It reminds me of the long early morning walks I took in my sophomore year - before I changed majors.
There is something about the glow of the streetlight that encourages introspection.
