In Windows/temp there is a file "ZLT0115a.TMP", that I cannot seem to get rid of. I have tried deleting the file in normal mode, but it states that it is being used by a person or a program. When I boot the computer up in safe mode, the file is no longer there. I do have files set so that all invisible files are visible.
How do I get rid of this temp file?
Since the file is not there in safe mode it probably means the temp file is one used when windows is running normally. It creates it when windows starts up and then deletes it during shut down.
You can try shutting off different start up programs if you really want to find out what it is for.
That likely is a Zone Alarm temp file. If you don't have Zone Alarm, then obviously, there's something else to look for. On the other hand, if you do have Zone Alarm, try shutting off Zone Alarm, then looking for the file - if its not there when Zone Alarm is shut down, but reappears when Zone Alarm is running, that's a pretty conclusive test.
It did turn out to be a Zone Alarm temp file. Thanks for clearing that up.
