[RESOLVED] Sudden problems - HJT log

I recently had my computer re-formatted. For the first few weeks everything went fine. Then out of the blue I started getting ctd in my games, and soon after that I started getting freez-ups when my computer started and while using different programs. I have done all the items listed by Don77 to do before posting a HJT log, but found no viruses or trojans. Below is my HJT log. Cheers for the help.

Don't notice any yuckware in that log - as far as yuckware goes, its clean. There are some unnecessary startup items, and a couple missing files you could have HJT fix, but I don't see anything there that would cause the symptoms you describe. If you could be a little more detailed about what happens when, I might be able to offer you more help in getting at what your problem really is.

All could be "Fixed" by HJT without harming your system or reducing the functionality of your software. You might notice a slight improvement in performance, but that's mebbe-mebbe not.

You could have HJT "Fix" (remove) all of your 016 entries; those are ActiveX controls which, if needed again, simply would download as required when you re-visit the web page that wants them.

There's some stuff going on there related to Microsoft Office that I don't like, but getting it gone - or at least tucked away - is a bit trickier; Office will just reload it anytime an Office application is invoked. Really, I wouldn't worry about that too much, but if you wish, I can step you through how to do it manually. Again, I doubt you'll see much performance improvement, so its probably not worth the effort.

Finally, before "Fixing" anything with HJT, move out of the temporary folder in which you currently have it, and put it into its own folder directly on your root drive or in your Programs folder.

Thanks for the reply. I'm starting to think more and more that this might be a harware problem. I was having similar issues before I re-formatted the harddrive. There is some minor corossion damage to the motherboard, which may be partly to blame. I think that my computer has become so touchy, that anything wrong can set it off. Usually I have a brief period when nothing wrong happens, right after I do scans and a clean up. Then problems start to creap back in.
