I am getting ready to follow the steps for adware, spyware, virus, and hijack removal. Do I need to back up my computer first? I do not want to lose anything! If I do need to back up my computer, how do I do it, what will I need, and what all do I back up?
Back up on general principles. At work I back up my accounting files (but not the program, which I can reinstall) daily, and get the excel files monthly.
I go to "My Computer" click into C drive, select the files I want to back up, and ust the 'send to' command to get them to the E drive, which happens to be my cd drive. Your system will undoubtably vary.
