Yes, but I thought you were looking for the place where the longest river not going to an ocean, sea, gulf, or lake ended.

My answer, Río de la Plata, is where the long river in question, Paraná, ends after travelling 2,795 miles (4,498 km).

I take it you are of the impression there is a longer such river?

Usually, rivers end in some other "stretch of water".
This one doesn't.

so its a river, presumably flowing with water in it (or are we on Titan here?) which doesnt flow into the sea or a lake, but just stops? It evaporates? Ok thinking about it.

Here's an easy one

Which major European country is surrounded by 3 seas and has land boundaries with 9 other countries?

well yes you are right, but your answer doesnt count, living there, so anyone else (carefully not looking at Francis from France's answer)? And can you name all the seas and land borders?

Meanwhile this interesting river. That flows from somewhere to nowhere. Was it much bigger than it is now?

River Jordan?

no cant be that flows into the dead sea.

I really really hope this is not a trick question Francis!

Its a natural feature? Not a canal or a ditch?

Not a tricky question, Steve.

It's 100% natural. It's a river like any other river.

But I asked because it amazed me for a long time as it just vanishes in land.
