To what end? For what purpose?

It seems to me, we'd end up with quite a few risks of utter annihilation if this were to succeed.

Indeed. The first two words that popped into my head when I saw the phrase powerful enough to pierce space-time are "vacuum" and "metastability".

Let's not erase the universe.
