It's none of the above, remember it needs to sail not float! Schooner seemed obvious to me too but it's not that. I just can't work it out!

How do you know that it is none of the above? Does the answer contain a certain number of letters? Is this all the information you can give us?

I don't actually know what the answer is, it's a clue on a computer game. I don't know how many letters it has either but it is a maximum of 8

A little research on Google shows that this appears to be a riddle in a Zelda game. (Wind Waker? Wind Walker?)

Tryagain's answer (Schooner) should be the correct answer.

I also saw this little tidbit:
