I have a PC Temperature monitor download. What is the Maximum Temperature for the CPU. My Readings are:
[In Fahrenheit]
CPU - 120
Local-102
Remote2-105
HDO- 110
Thank You. Fred NJ USA
It depends entirely on what type of CPU you have. 120 degrees Fahrenheit should be acceptable regardless of what CPU you have, though. Normally, one should try to stay under 160 or so degrees to be on the safe side.
mine turns off at 152 - other reason for new fan and heatsink
Often it is possible to configure the shutdown temperature in the bios settings, but a good heatsink/fan is always better of course. Not that newer Intel CPU:s risk frying; if they get too hot they will start throttling (run slower), but still...
