Can anyone tell what this movie is called?

If I remember right, it’s about a boy and a Native American ghost that become friends and end up saving a reservation where the ghost had passed away. The Native American ghost is a man and is mischievous and acts like a kid if I remember right. The movie I’m thinking of is a family movie so it’s not a horror movie.
Now I think this movie came out in either the 80s or the 90s, I’m not quite sure but I’ve been searching for it for quite awhile and want to watch but can’t.
