Can a man go to the doctor for a genital wart and not be told it’s HOV

I’ve been with my husband for 3 years and have never had an STD. In the beginning of our relationship he had what he told me was a regular wart/skin tag on his groin area. He went to doc and was prescribed podofilox and I asked him why he prescribed that bc it’s used for genital warts from HPV but said it was just for his skin tag/wart I didn’t know anything about HPV or any STD’s at the time and believed him. Would his doctor tell him it’s a genital wart caused by HPV or just prescribe him that. He swears the doc never said anything about it being HPV. Also, he had previously told me his ex has HPV but claims he thought it was a condition that could cause cancer and nothing else. He’s had small bumps on his penis that come and go and thought it was PPP but the bumps come and go which PPP doesn’t do that. He swears he had no idea he had it even though his ex did and knew it and went to doc for meds for a Genital wart which he made me believe was same as regular wart. I now have mouth sores from it along with vaginal issues. I have fibromyalgia so adding this to my health is devastating for me. I just can’t come to terms w the fact he had absolutely no idea. I’d like thoughts about this bc I feel lost and betrayed.

@tootrusting,
Maybe his condition is from before you. It's a question best asked of your doctor.

In the meantime, don't borrow trouble.

@tootrusting,
Go to see your doctor, ask how you got those mouth sores.

I doubt anyone on A2K knows anything about your husband's willy.

@tootrusting,
You should go to your doctor and get some real medical advice. You are overreacting.

It seems highly unlikely that any of your medical conditions have anything to do with your husband's genital warts.

It is true that genital warts are caused by HPV. However the strain of HPV that causes warts is called "low-risk" HPV because it is unlikely to cause any other medical problems. (I am not a doctor, but this is pretty common information from STD organizations.)

So, please. Go to your doctor and get real medical advice. I don't see any evidence that your husband did anything wrong.

Maybe if you talk to a doctor and get real information you can avoid messing up your marriage.
