Bella, I think it means good.

Sadly films that are described as comedies are very rarely true.

All i can think of is South Park-The Movie, the entire cinema was in fits of laughterand is actually on of my happiest memories(does that make me sad)
Scary Movie 2-MAybe not hilarious but a certain character will leave a lasting impression.
Something about Mary.

Meet the Parents was naff, Ive not seen meet the fockers but wouldnt mind.

Im looking forward to seeing a UK version of a tv comedy coming out soon.
The league of Gentlemen-Apocolypse.The series is fantastic so Im hoping th film will live up to it.

I just had the pleasure of watching "Kung Fu Hustle" (still in some theaters I think), and "Shaolin Soccer" (on DVD now).

Both VERY funny movies.

Well, whichever one you see, do NOT choose Kangaroo Jack, which I had the misfortune of renting the other day. It was so utterly unfunny, boring and insipid I really wonder how I managed to sit through it (perhaps the Friday evening weariness made me too tired to reach for the remote).

The only funny thing about the film was what was said about the film on IMDB, that it was unsuitable for children because a woman takes a bath (with her clothes on!) in the film; frankly, that was the only thing connected to this film that made me smile! (Those posters must either have been Americans or Taliban to fall over something so silly).

But seriously, a quite funny film I saw lately (although not a recent release) was "Crime Spree", a crime comedy à la "Lock, Stock and two Smoking Barrels" (which is also very "seeworthy" Smile ).

It features a rag tag collection of French gangsters sent to Chicago for a heist, who soon find themselves chased by the mob, the feds, the police and a street gang. The plot has many twists and turns and a good number of gags. The cast includes two aging French rock stars (Hallyday and Renaud, as a tough guy and an assassin) as well as Gerard Depardieu, while the Mob boss is played by Harvey Keitel. The film was good for a few laughs.
