Snapchat delivered snaps

So i’ve been messaging my friend who lives far away from me and basically i sent her two snaps at like 6pm on wednesday and then still didn’t have a response the following day which is really unusual for her. I then sent like just a blank snapchat on thursday to see if she was online and she opened it but the other two previous snaps still remain unopened. I thought that when you click on the red square when someone sends you a snap all of the snaps they have sent open? Is it possible that for some reason she hasn’t seen the previous two or they haven’t been delivered even tho they say delivered to me?
