Joe Biden's record on civil rights

"Former vice president and potential 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden is defending his record on civil rights after The Washington Post resurfaced a 1975 interview in which the then-senator opposed slavery reparations and school busing." I'm Japanese American and well aware of the discrimination suffered by minorities in this country. However, reparations for blacks do not make any sense; those now living didn't suffer from slavery. There are now laws on the books against racial discrimination. What blacks are demanding is that they get paid for the sins from the mid-19th century when most of our ancestors did not live in America. Most immigrants arrived to America long after slavery. Why don't they just demand that the whole world pay for their reparations? The US government apologized, and paid us $20,000 in reparations. We were in those concentration camps for three years, surrounded by barbed wire fence and armed soldiers. One man was shot, because he didn't understand English, and got too close to the fence. The soldier was fined $1 of illegal use of a bullet. Who ever isn't outraged by this incident just fails to understand what America is all about. Over and beyond that, the 442nd Infantry made up of Japanese Americans, and who fought in Italy, France and Germany during WWII, were the most decorated unit in American History. The Tuskegee Airmen who fought during WWII were also heroes, but they're still discriminated in this country by white fiat.
